Description

The drum bears the distinctive colors to convey the Infantry branch where the band began. In chief the boar’s head adapted from James Olgethorpe’s crest, founder of the colony of Georgia which alludes to the home area of the 116TH Army Band.The boar’s head is also of courage and ferocity. It is also surrounded by a white scroll bearing “116th ARMY BAND” in blue letters.
